Equity Capital Markets

Overview
Being a public listed company enables a company to raise new capital through placement and rights issuance and at the same time, raises the company's market profile and credibility. It is also able to foster ownership among employees through implementation of Employee Share Ownership Schemes. Shareholders can stand to benefit from the company's flotation as the shares can be used as collateral and are freely traded at market value, thereby providing liquidity for shareholders.
Our track record of helping our clients raise funds from the capital market through public listing, secondary placement, rights issue of shares or bonds, and equity-linked issues speaks for itself. To date, we have led some of the more complex and sizeable equity transactions in Singapore. As your Issue Manager, we will coordinate all activities leading to the listing of your company, including providing you with advice on valuation and timing of the issue.
Research and Distribution
Our strong distribution capabilities have been enhanced through close partnership with our associated company, UOB Kay Hian - one of the largest and most active brokerage houses in Singapore. UOB Kay Hian also provides strong research capabilities through its analysts and economists who cover a wide spectrum of sectors. Our alliances with global broking houses also allow us to further extend our geographical reach.
The UOB Group has an institutional sales network, comprising hubs in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand, that allows us regional access to both Asian clients and institutional investors. In addition, we have access to the ATM network in Singapore and are a member of the SGX-ST as a retail broker - two essential elements that ensure successful placements in Singapore.
